Carina Linares
Engagement ProducerCarina is the Engagement Producer of Avanza. Carina graduated from Utah State University as the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Valedictorian with degrees in Sociology, Intersectional Gender Studies, and Sexuality Studies.
She has worked with Utah State to research the environmental impact of immigration in the United States, the interconnection of food insecurity and disability, and the construction of race, class, and gender within Mexican American, Chinese American, and Native American school desegregation cases.
As a senior thesis, she conducted her own research exploring the experiences of LGBTQ+ Students of Color within predominantly white institutions.
Carina has worked with countless nonprofits and LGBTQ+ organizations building community bridges and creating sustainable partnerships over the past six years.
