Sip & Savor 2026: Utah's new dine-around and festival

Sip & Savor / Millcreek City Lifestyle

Edgar Zúñiga sits down with Julie Janke and Carlos Toledo to discuss Sip & Savor 2026, a new dine-around festival elevating Utah’s culinary scene.

Sip & Savor is bringing together restaurants, bars and other culinary businesses for an inaugural six-week dine-around in Salt Lake. The experience runs through October 10 and features 38 establishments representing a range of cuisines and price points.

Participants can download a free digital passport at sipandsavormillcreek.com or use the map published in Millcreek City Lifestyle to explore participating businesses. There is a wide variety of restaurants including the recently Michelin-starred restaurant Monte in South Salt Lake, as well as other Latino-owned restaurants such as Killa Nikkei, La Casa del Tamal, and Arempa's. Founder Julie Jahnke and publisher of Millcreek City Lifestyle said creating community and strengthening local businesses is central to the event. "I started the magazine because I wanted to build community, and I wanted to do [Sip & Savor] in a really intentional way that helped businesses grow and helped people find resources and helped people find each other."

Publication director Carlos Toledo said organizers also wanted the event to reflect the variety of our region’s food scene. "We wanted to make sure that every different cuisine was being embraced and supported throughout this experience."

Sip & Savor culminates with a finale festival from noon to 4 p.m. on October 11 at Log Haven in Millcreek Canyon, featuring food, drinks and entertainment.
